Jenny and Scott are ENGAGED

Jenny and Scott got engaged on the beach, so to the beach we went for what was a beautiful day. I got to spend two weekends in a row at the beach; how awesome is that?

We met Jenny and Scott through Leilani and Marcel. Apparently, Scott and Leilani row together (hmmm...rowing, I want to try rowing). Maybe Emma and I can convince them to take us out some afternoon. However, the last time Emma tried water sports ended up in a $50 rescue mission from the nearest life guard.

They are having a fabulous ceremony at the resort from the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". I'm sure it's going to be fabulous.

We had a wonderful shoot with Jenny and Scott this weekend. Wind, wind, and more wind! I felt so bad because Jenny's hair looked so perfect...and the wind wasn't cooperating!

Mike + Georgia, E-Session

Golden Gate Park

One of the greatest things about this park is that you can achieve two completely different looks with just a 2-minute drive between locations.

It seems we were constantly looking at the sky, hoping that rain drops wouldn't fall and cut our session short. Fortunately, we had clear skies for our photo shoot.

Georgia and Mike are both teachers (which I think is so cute!) We have three 2009 couples where both the bride and groom are teachers (and..surprisingly enough, they all don't know each other). Hmmm.... I wonder what I'm doing to target such a great market!

I had a great afternoon with Marcel and Leilani. We were supposed to do this shoot on Saturday morning, but the weather forecast wasn't looking so good so we did a quick rescheduling.

I arrived at Santana about 45 minutes early to scope out the place, as I usually do, and was pleasantly surprised to find Marcel and Leilani already on site.

Leilani and Marcel met and got engaged on Santana Row, so it was only fitting that we document their engagement at the same strip of shops.

You guys rock. I had an awesome time shooting you. You guys are pros.

Marjorie and Anton, Elizabeth Gamble Garden

Marj is a friend of Emma's and is getting married next March. We wish we could be their DOP (day-of photographer), but I'll settle with having an awesome e-session with them.

Katy and Nolan

I'm just starting my wedding portfolio, and Katy and Nolan were one of my first clients willing to take a chance on a a newcomer. Thank you for that!

We had their engagement session last Sunday. At first I suggested an urban shoot, but Katy suggested something a little more rustic to match their personalities, so I went with it and I'm so glad we did.



Katy once told my wife that their first date was spent swinging on swings at a local park. I thought this picture was very appropriate.



Shooting with them was like shooting with old friends.

And this last shot is a tribute to my wife, who insists I get jumping shots. Does it remind you of one of my previous pictures? Hmmm... So unplanned.

Belle and Clint, Monterey CA

Got to work with Belle and Clint this weekend, up in Monterey CA. I was surprised at how smoky the sky was that day (from all the surrounding fires). We managed to have a wonderful shoot. Belle has the prettiest smile, and Clint has this infectious personality. Can't help but love them!

Downtown San Jose

Took a stroll through downtown this weekend, trying to find ideal spots for some e-sessions we have lined up. Also got a chance to pick up a Father's Day cake for, well, ME!
